New CEO Lüning

Dr.-Ing. Ralf Lüning has been the new CEO of Unitechnik Systems GmbH since June of 2015. He has taken over the responsibilities of shareholder Wolfgang Cieplik who is moving to the holding company. Lüning has more than 15 years of experience in automation for production and logistics, among others with Schaeffler Technologies and io-consultants in Germany and Asia. Continuously strengthening the market position of Unitechnik as the first point of contact for demanding production automation and intralogistics projects is one of Lüning’s key goals.

The 39-year-old has proven his technology expertise, among others with Schaeffler and the planning firm io-consultants. In the Schaeffler industrial group, he was responsible for the worldwide further development of logistics as Head of Supply Chain Development. Most recently Lüning held the position of Senior Business Unit Manager for logistics and factory planning projects at io-consultants in Germany and Asia. “Mr. Lüning has supported and implemented industrial projects as the employee of a planning company and also on the user side,” says Wolfgang Cieplik in regards to this personnel decision. “This know-how is very valuable for Unitechnik as an automation specialist.” In his new function as CEO of Unitechnik Systems GmbH, Lüning among other things plans to expand the range of services offered by the system integrator in after-sales service. Lüning is the co-CEO of Torsten Ley, who has been responsible for the commercial management of the Unitechnik Group for more than 25 years.
